Workshops

Good Movement has been privileged enough to take part in many workshops since we first began. These workshops have opened our eyes to the great work that many youth organizations are doing. We are proud to say that youth philanthropy is alive and well!

At workshops, Good Movement tables and gathers volunteers for future initiatives while teaching young people about the value of youth action and philanthropy. We have been invited to workshops by ACCESS Charity, The United Way of Peel Region, the Queen’s International Development Conference, York University and The Dufferin-Peel District School Board.

Youth Making a Difference 2011

ACCESS Charity holds a youth workshop every year in Peel Region. This workshop is targeted towards high school students and has inspired many to start volunteering within their community.

This workshop marked the beginning of Good Movement as an organization. ACCESS gave us an opportunity to learn about non-profits in Peel region, and we were able to connect with over 100 young people.

YorkFest

The YorkFest Village completely transforms York University’s Keele Campus. Student organizations, charities and companies come together to offer students opportunities to get involved.

This was the debut for Good Movement @ York, our first collegiate chapter. We were able to find some amazing general members — many of which have joined the Good Movement team as committee members for some upcoming projects.
